Hinman Avenue Addition/Renovation
Great projects don’t happen without great clients. We were fortunate to work with a couple who were as committed to the character of the home as they were to sensitively expanding the house for their family. Each time there was a surprise, they were up for the challenge. When aluminum siding and drywall were removed, an old, deteriorated leaded Palladian window was revealed that had been hidden for decades. The owners not only invested in new, energy efficient windows, they went the extra mile to incorporate leaded glass detailing that referenced the original windows. When extensive rot was revealed at the front porch, they not only signed on to rebuild it, they improved it with brick piers and limestone stairs. Their stewardship means the house will serve their family, and will also continue to contribute to the character of the neighborhood for decades to come.
