Highland Park Mid-Century Modern Addition
It’s always fun when we are invited to work on a mid-century modern home with clients who appreciate what they already have, and just need it to work better. That was the case with this home that overlooks a ravine in Highland Park. It had a dilapidated screened porch off an outdated kitchen that obscured natural light and the ravine view. We redesigned the kitchen and added a vaulted family room that is flooded with light. A modern steel stair to a new rear patio reconnects the raised ranch’s second floor kitchen living areas with the back yard and ravine below.
