880 Lake Shore Drive Residence

It’s a tall order when you are called upon improve a Mies van der Rohe building. But that was our challenge when Gary and Maureen bought two condos in Chicago’s iconic 880 Lakeshore Drive building to combine them as their new home. We kept the public side of the home focused on a beautiful view of Lake Michigan and Navy Pier, and oriented the master suite towards a view of the iconic Hancock building. We designed a versatile millwork piece to serve as both headboard and convenient office area without dividing up the master suite.
